TIFL DEU A1

This course covers the syllabus prescribed as per the A1 level or Start Deutsch- I (as per international certification).  After completion of this course, students will have learned elementary language skills and be able to write the Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Start Deutsch 1 / OSD-Zertifikat A1. The examination corresponds to level one (A1) on the six-level scale of competence laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages  (CEFR).

After completion of the course, students will be able to:

• Communicate in a simple manner.
• Understand and use familiar, everyday common expressions and simple sentences (e.g. information about yourself and your family or about shopping, work and your immediate surroundings).
• Introduce yourself and others, as well as ask others about themselves, e.g. where they live, who they know and what they own.

This course covers the syllabus prescribed as per the B2 level (as per international certification). Students would be eligible to write Goethe-Zertifikat B2 exam / OSD-Zertifikat B2, which certifies that you have sound basic knowledge of everyday German and the language skills required for dealing with different situations encountered on a daily basis.Additionally, you will be able to ,understand a wide range of texts, both shorter simple texts (such as advertisements) and longer, more complex factual texts, commentaries and reports. The examination corresponds to level four (B2) on the six-level scale of competence laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

After completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Understand the main contents of complex texts on concrete and abstract topics, as well as technical discussions in your own area of specialization.
• Communicate fluently with native speakers, without a great deal of effort on either side.
